It was the next day at 10 am when Dr. Smith called nicki.

“Boss lady, Dr. Smith wants to speak with you” Jessie came running to the stairs to meet nicki coming down. She handed the phone to nicki. She didn’t really expect anything but all negatives so she was confident in speaking with the doctor.

“Hello?”

“Is this Mrs. Samuels?”

“Yes it is”

“Hello, Mrs. Samuels its Dr. smith again”

“Oh hi”

“Well I was calling regards to your test that you took yesterday. My lab just got done with you results, and I have good news all around for you”

“Yes”

“Well everything came out negative” nicki smiled at the results

“Okay thank you Dr. Smith”

“No but there is more”

“Oh really” nicki stood at the end of her steps in her pajamas smiling holding the railing with one hand and the phone in the other

“Well congratulations your pregnant Mrs. Samuels” nicki eye balls got wide really quick and she started screaming and drop the phone. Jessie got scared and ran to nicki on the steps.

“What’s wrong, why are you crying and screaming? Don’t tell me we have to kill sb! He gave you something? Let me call up my Puerto Rican cousin they will handle him for cheating boss lady”

Nicki cried, screamed and laughed at Jessie and manage to get a few words out while she bent down to pick up her phone

“I’m. Preg.nant”

“You’re what?” Jessie smile grew ten miles wide as she grabbed nickis arms pulling her up off the stairs screaming and jumping around like lunatics.

“Omg I have to call everybody, but I don’t want to tell sb just yet. Hold on” nicki picked up the phone and recognized that the doctor was still on the line.

“I’m so sorry Dr. Smith I’m just so excited” nicki screamed

“Well congratulations. I will speak with your assistant again and make your first appointment. It was nice speaking to you and again congratulations”

“Thank you so much. Okay. Mmhmm. Bye bye”

Nicki hung up the phone and squat back down on the stairs to take in everything she just heard. She was pregnant. She carrying safaree’s child, they succeeded in what they worked hard for. She giggled to herself. She got up and went up stairs after she told Jessie she could go home after she did her radio interview, and called everybody in her family and told them to keep it from safaree because she wanted to surprise him.

Safaree had made it to the airport yesterday around 7pm. As soon as the plane landed the black navigator with tinted windows was waiting for him on the run way. The weather was pretty windy because it was in the end of October and a little more chilly than Florida. It was around 54 degrees Fahrenheit so safaree threw on his Yankees cap and navy blue and white Stall & Dean jacket and hopped into the car.

“What’s up safaree?” the driver said. This had been their same driver since nicki was doing the club scenes.

“nothing much man, how you?” safaree asked giving him a manly handshake while placing his black checkered LV duffle bag on the seat next to him

“I’m great where Mrs. Beautiful is?” the driver always called her that so safaree didn’t take offense to it.

“She stayed back in Florida, she’s relaxing”

“Aw ok I see what this is about”

“How you know man” safaree cracked a grin while looking down at his phone pulling up Vincent’s number

“Because woman need their space when they say they do, and they will do anything to get it.”

“Yeah, she kind of sent me out her for a week or 2”

“Yeah she was ready to get away from” the driver joked

“I miss her though I wonder if she misses me”

“She does but she won’t admit it because she the one who sent you out here. As they say “it was best for me and you” “

“Ha! You got her right on the point with that quote”

“All of them are like that, but enjoy it while you can. What you doing up here?”

“I guess imma hang with the guys and spend time with my family and go see my god son that’s about it”

“That’s what’s up”

“Yeah it is, but I think I’m headed home first I want to surprise my mother and sisters.”

Safaree leaned back in his seat and thought about what he just said and recognize that he didn’t have any flowers for them.

“Yo, can you swing me by the florist right quick I gotta go pick up some tulips and gardenias for my favorite women”

“No problem my mans!”

Before safaree could call nicki she called him. His phone rang with you the Boss ringtone and showed a picture of her in hot pink lace lingerie. He never got over you the boss even though it was 3 years old. He picked up excited to speak to his wife

“Hey sweetheart”

“Hey baby you miss me”

Safaree tapped the driver shoulder and mouthed to him that she just asked him did he miss her. Safaree and nicki knew each other like the back of their hands

“I do! And do you miss me?”

“I don’t know let me think about it. Just kidding I do miss you”

“I wish I can hold you, these 2 weeks are going to be hard baby”

“No they not go have fun”

“Oh I’m changing the subject, what did the doctor say”

Nicki face gleamed of joy as he asked her that question but she did not want to give up the surprise just that soon. So she told him the run around of what Dr. Smith said

“She told me I didn’t have any STD and she wants me to come in so she can give me ovulation advice on how to watch then and know the times that are high so I can get pregnant.” Nicki busted out laughing while running her fingers thru her hair. She lies back on the couch and put her feet up close to her chest.

“Of course you not gon have any STD, what you tryna say I gave you something son” safaree said in a sarcastic way while laughing

“Naw nigga I’m tryna say if you cheated on my ass I would have known son” nicki said putting on her tough little voice

“Naw son that’s a no go on this side, we only cheat on angry birds”

Nicki cried laughing at safaree’s sarcasm because it fitted her so well.

“Aw babe I miss you” safaree heard their door slam in the back but didn’t say anything

“Where are you going now safaree?”

“I’m picking the girls up some flowers and surprising them. I gotta find my keys in that duffle so I can open the door. Or should I do that shit like a soldier coming home and just ring the door bell and let them scream while opening the door?”

“You are a fuckin fool safaree” nicki laughed

“But you should ring the bell it’s more exciting”

“What are you doing tonight? I just heard the door close”

“I’m hanging with jess and martin and doing a Ustream for the barbs and catch up with my barbs and dm a few people that’s all”

“Tell them coons I said BC 1said WATS good and I love them all”

“Ok big daddy, jess and martin re walking in” nicki said with a seductive voice to make jess and martin think something was up

Safaree heard Jessie in the back ground screaming “eww boss lady stop having phone sex he has only been gone for a 2 and half hours” safaree chuckled

“Ok I will call you if I can tonight. I will text you in the morning and call during the day and Skype at 9 pm tomorrow LOVE YOU”

“Ok safaree LOVE YOU MORE have fun on vacay”

“Cant have fun without you but I will try and enjoy”

Nicki hung up and safaree called Vincent and told him to tell the hood he is in town and drinks on him if they go out. But they might just stay at Vincent’s and Laurens and play a couple of card games and backgammon.  Soon after safaree picked up their favorite flowers they pulled up at the house 25 minutes later.

Safaree‘s mom did not want to move from where she was. But instead she wanted to fix up the house so that’s what he did for her. He loved being back at home where he grew up. Brooklyn was loud and crazy but it was what he use was to. When he steps out the car, the polluted air hit his nose smelling like cold water and garbage mixed. The wind blew hard as he closed the door and told the driver he would call when he was ready. He pulled his brown LV luggage to the door and stood there cheesing from ear to ear. He rang the door bell and waited the excitement.

Shanequa ran to the door and opened it with his nieces on her tail. She opened the door and screamed at the site of her brother.

“Momma its safaree” she jumped him and hugged him tight

“Love you bug head where you been at long time no talk”

It was true that he didn’t talk to his sisters as much since him and nicki had been together on tour but they understood that they wouldn’t see him as much in that life style. His mother and his other sister ran to the door.

“Omg it’s my baby” safaree’s mom said walking up and putting both of her warm hands on safaree’s chocolate face. Safaree closed his eyes at the touch of his mothers loving hands. He turned his face to kiss her hand and handed her tulips. Her eyes got big with excitement and thankfulness. Anything that safaree gave her meant a lot.

He turned and gave both of his sisters their flowers as he hugged Sarah, his other sister.

“Momma I’m here for 2 weeks, you wanted me now you got me” he said while pulling in his luggage

“Omg my nieces got so big” he bent down and hugged all 3 of them

“Yeah we did Uncle Faree, and where’s tee nicki at?”

“Yeah where is Onika safaree” his mother asked concerned

“Ma she was the one who sent me out her to spend time with yall she said she needs her woman space and I need to catch up with my man side and hang with my friends”

“You say that like you didn’t want a break”

“I didn’t ma, I’m so use to being around her and that’s where my heart is”

“Yes son that’s good that you want to be around her all the time but yes us women do need our space and I’m glad she’s being a great wife and send you away. That shows that she trust you” safaree felt kind of better after his momma told him that

“Yeah, haven’t you heard the saying? What is absent from you makes the heart grow fonder?” Shanequa said”

“Yeah”

“Well that’s what she’s doing, keeping yall relationship strong. She wants you to miss each other say yall can never stay away from each other. It keeps things new in a relationship, almost like being in a long distance relationship and then you see the person and can’t keep your hands off of them”

“Yall women are so complicated” safaree took off his hat but they stood by the door.

“Are yall hungry?”

“Yes but momma was finna make dinner”

“No need to do that ma, somebody finna cook for you for once”

“Safaree we don’t have to go out”

“I want to take my family out”

“Okay baby only this time. Next time you are getting a home cooked meal.”

“Ok ma, just put your coat on”

Safaree dialed up the driver and he came around the corner 20 minutes later. They ate at a fine diner in New York, New York. They caught up on a lot of things, he asked his sisters for advice and his mother gave them all advice. He loved being with his family, he always felt secure around those people. He talked about him and nicki and the things that they saw and did while they were in England and overseas. The family laughed at Shanequa 7 thousand boyfriends and Sarah’s nerdy boyfriend. Safaree wanted to meet their boyfriends and give then the run down. They loved their brother back at home.

*Before they went to Nicki’s house….*

Jessie and Martin had been together for 7 months now and Jessie felt like she was ready to come out and say that they were together. She and martin laid in their king size bed in their apartment they bought as soon as they got back off tour. Nicki didn’t know anything about the apartment but she did know they were already together, but Jessie didn’t know. Their sheets were white and black silk, and the bed was a canopy bed made out of red cherry oak wood. They didn’t have anything hanging from the bed it was just made like that. Behind the bed were 3 black and white pictures of them going diagonally left, like a staircase? The bed was so tall Jessie had a wood step stool made to climb in.

Martin always laid on the left side by the wall and Jessie always slept by the window on the right. Jessie loved to smell the beach with the window crack when she was sleep. Martin had his head buried under the covers slightly snoring. Jessie propped herself up and push down the poufy cover to see her boyfriends breathing thru the covers. She knew where he was because his stomach would make the covers go up and down where he laid. Jessie giggled to herself...

“Bay” Jessie called out but no response

“Martin” she said a little louder but still no response. Jessie started to shake him and all he did was turn over

“Got dammit martin wake up baby” she snatched the covers from over his head letting the bright Florida sun shine on his face thru their white sheer curtains that matched their bed spread.

Martin covered his face with his hands rubbing them down his face.

“Yes bay” he said grumpy and tried to adjust his eyes to the sun filled room

“I was thinking… I’m ready to tell nicki so we can stop hiding”

Martin sat up while smiling a little

“Well there is something I need to tell you” Jessie looked at him strange

“What is it martin” she said looking down his chocolate flavored chest that jumped while he stretched.

“Well nicki kind of already knows” Jessie’s heart started to beat fast and martin knew that she was panicking. She turned tomato red.

“What, wait? when?, how?” she hopped from the bed which was very tall and hit the floor

“Ouch!” she said rubbing her dancer knee. She came down on it to hard

“Omg babe is you ok? I knew we shouldn’t have gotten this big old bed” he ran to Jessie.

“I’m okay, but how could you not tell me” he helped her stand straight and she began to pace the room working out the kinks in her knee.

“I don’t know, cause maybe I know you would start acting like this.” Martin pointed to her and made his point while sitting on the edge of the bed. She came and stood in front of him.

He admired Jessie’s curls as the cascaded down on shoulder a little past her breast. He loved when she had no makeup on because you could see the light brown circles under her eyes which made her hazel eyes stand out. She had on a white tank top with no bra and grey boy shorts that held her ass upright. Her long butter pecan legs, and thick thighs, and dainty feet turned him on also, she was a luminous in the sun light. He loved when she was mad, because he loved making up with her, with just kisses because she still hadn’t gave up her cookies.

“What do you mean you don’t know you could have given me a heads up or something? She probably thinks I’m a hoe, imma sneaky selfish bastard, a bitch, what if I lose my job”

“You’re not going to lose it if she already knows”

“Oh”

“Yeah”

“Ditz moment sorry babe”

“It’s ok. But she knew every since that night on the bus we were making out and she step on but then stepped right back off and I saw her”

“Oops”

“Yeah, so we can still tell her but she know we been trying to hide it and keep it a secret”

“Well has she said anything to you?” Jessie came and sat on his lap. He placed his hands on her warm thighs and squeezed slightly.

“No but she hints off a lot”

“Well I’m ready to tell her so I can get it off my chest and we don’t have to hide, because I love you and you love me. We shouldn’t have to hide this, and she should understand out of everybody”

“Yeah she would just go get dressed. We suppose to be over there for yall girl’s movie night while I go set up Ustream and do her other errands”

“Oh yeah right”

-later that day after her and martin went to go see family…

Jessie and martin arrived at nickis place and took the key from under the white lion sitting in the front. They unlock the door and help themselves in. nicki only told a few people in case of emergency of where the key was.

They began to walk towards the back and heard nicki on the phone talking to safaree obviously because she was saying I love you a lot as they got closer nicki heard them and nicki started to talk seductively. After that nicki and Jessie, sat down and talked for a while as martin ordered pizza for them and sat in the family room playing Xbox. He also ran and got the ice cream and Swedish fish and sour patch kids. Tonight was going to be a cheat night for both of them and they loved it.

Jessie was now ready to tell nicki what was going on.

“Martin could you come hear please?” Jessie asked. Martin came running to the movie theater of the house.

“Yes” he said outta breath. Jessie stood up and looked down at nicki. She walked over to martin and held his hand. He knew from then where this was going.

“Nicki, I have wanted to tell this but I have been scared shitless for the past few months because I was scared to lose my job. But I’m in love with martin and we go out.”

“What in the living hell” nicki was planning on putting on a show

“I thought you out of all people would understand”

“I can’t have two of my workers fuckin! Hell naw!” nicki said getting up folding her arms being dramatic

“Well I know you knew nicki cause you saw us on the bus” martin said frowning

“I did! And the fact that yall tried to hide the shit longer pisses me off” Jessie started to cry

“Well nick she wanted to be professional about this that’s why I didn’t just up and tell you because you know we don’t keep secrets”

“Exactly we don’t keep secrets in this house and in this work relationship, how could you not tell me” nicki said with a fake attitude which made jess cry more because she thought she was serious.

“Because I wanted to keep my job and if you don’t respect that then I should leave” nicki thought that was enough. Jessie felt like she wanted to explode and he nose was red.

“Girl shut up all that damn whining and stops crying and gives me a hug! I’m happy yall together I was playing the whole time. Yall are a cute couple have fun but don’t bring this in between work when shit happens. Just like yall seen me and safaree get mad but that didn’t affect shit on stage”

“We promise” they said in unison

They heard a knock on the door

“Well I guess that’s the pizza man, let me go get that” martin said smiling

He leaned over and kisses jess as nicki smiled and folded her arms.

“Eww yall so cute, I miss my Faree”

“Omg HB this is why I’m here so you don’t have to miss him, let’s turn the movie on”

“Whatever jess, you don’t understand. You will understand when you are with somebody for 10 years straight and yall never been away from each other for more than a week.”

“Aww ONIKAFAREE”

“Shut up jess” nicki hit her on the arm

“Ouch! Did you forget I’m still TM at heart even though I work for you?”

Nicki smiled and took a sip of her Pepsi out of the pink swirly straw.

Safaree and his family made it back to the house and played some music. They were dancing and singing on to their reggae and dancehall, whining and gyrating everywhere. Safaree even pulled his mother to the dance floor as they all enjoyed each other’s company. After they did that they sat down and cuddled under his nieces huge plush blankets with Dora and Winnie the pooh on them and watched a movie until everybody was sleep. Safaree was the last one awake and he text his wife

"safaree: I love you with all my soul sweetheart"

"Nicki: I love you more chocolate drop Faree"

"Safaree: the family is dozed off in my arm literally, i just wanted to tell you i love you and goodnight"

"Nicki: im glad yall had fun, love you more daddy"

"Safaree: goodnight"

"Nicki: goodnight"

Next day safaree was going to be with his homeboys. And SBZ would be back in full play. He dozed off after saying a silent praying and looking over his family once more.

Over the course of the week nicki was on the computer. She was also planning how to tell safaree about the baby and calling everyone else who was left in her phone except for safaree’s family and Candi. She told Lauren and flipped but she knew Candi would run her mouth so she kept it closed. She started noticing little changes in her feet and hands; they would ache a little but not a lot. She stayed on Ustream with her barbs all week catching up with them, calling them, even texting a few when she asked them to post their numbers. She told them she had a surprise for them but wouldn’t say. They played trend topic games and spilt tea about the things she was conjuring up. She told them she was sending the books out soon and ran down the rules to the TM diaries. She told them about how the book should stay to only Nation of Pinkslam and if media got a hold to it she would never communicate with them again like she did now.

Nicki called into radio shows and listen to poems, songs made for her, even songs made for safaree. She did a lot of exiling of all the fake teamminaj she followed and even the ones she didn’t follow. She just wrote exiled to the ones who were fake.

She kept up with her Skype sessions with safaree and fell asleep every night with him on Skype. They told each other about each other’s das and how they went and what they do. Safaree caught up with old friends and he told her how everybody wanted to see her and hug her. She missed New York but she didn’t want to go up there no time soon.

Candi called nicki during the week and screamed at her for not coming with safaree because she really wanted to see him but she knew that in 2 months she would see her for Christmas. Candi told nicki all what safaree was doing even when nicki didn’t ask. Nicki knew Candi was a good friend looking out for her.

New York was relaxing to safaree the week he stayed… now he’s working on the second week then back home to his wife. He’s counting down….
